Entrepreneurship/Business Development
Y., Ph.D., had collaborated with others on business consulting
projects in the areas of quantitative and qualitative social research before. However, he had little prior experience in marketing
his own services, nor had he defined his own positioning or framed the value of his impressive array of skills for corporate
clients. His goal was to build business with corporate clients and
develop his own consultancy in the areas of social research as
well as script writing for corporate training and communication
films.
In the framework of regular one-on-one coaching (mostly by
telephone) sessions over a period of time, Y developed his
positioning, value proposition and branding for his consultancy.
Moreover, he used the coaching process to strategize about
specific client handling challenges, resulting in a contract for
writing a corporate education film.

Note
Individuals who are highly knowledgable in their area of expertise may lack the marketing, sales and client consulting skills
neeeded to succeed in entrepreneurial business situations.
Coaching is a practical and cost-effective way to develop these
crucial skills while respecting the unique personality and business situation of the entrepreneur.
Kultur & Management, Inc., has coached a range of entrepreneurs in the early and the re-juvenation phases of their business, mostly with a focus on business development, marketing
communication and goal/identity clarification for the entrepreneur.
